ABOUT THIS ROLE

St. Michael’s is hiring a Program Analyst to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client. As the Program Analyst, you will provide expert day-to-day analysis, assistance, advice, planning, data gathering & integration and preparation of plans

and strategies that directly support the USSOCOM J3. You will be in a client-facing role that will benefit from your prior SOF experience, and expertise. Our core value of Teamwork will be paramount to this role as you will Interface (liaise) independently, and in a team or collaborative environment with military, government, and nongovernment senior level officials within DOD and interagency.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Active Top-Secret with SCI eligibility clearance

  • Bachelor's degree any field (preferred), or equivalent combination of  professional military education, civilian education, and experience.

  • 10 years of total SOF and/or Special Mission Unit (SMU) or equivalent OGA experience, to include operational planning experience at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels as military and civilian/contractor.

  • 5 years of SOF ground, maritime, aviation, or HUMINT experience in the development and coordination of talent development programs (training, education, and exercise), as military and civilian/contractor.

  • 3 years of program management experience providing mission rehearsal support and advice, analyses, and assistance to the government in support of Tier 1 program-related activities, missions, policies, objectives, principles, and processes.

  • Comprehensive understanding of budgetary and financial management principles and techniques as they relate to long-range planning in support of Tier 1 programs and objectives.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide expert day-to-day analysis, assistance, advice, planning, data gathering & integration and preparation of plans and strategies that directly support the J3 in accomplishing the mission; provide J3 with accurate and timely “cradle to grave” programmatic information to ensure the user and Command is making informed decisions.

  • Monitor the overall system effectiveness using the existing USSOCOM joint training program. Propose recommendations on incremental changes to training systems that improve individual and collective mission performance.

  • Provide fact-finding and investigative techniques and the ability to research and interpret doctrine, policy, and other guidance as they relate to the CMRC program.

  • Provide budgetary and financial management to long-range planning of programs and objectives for CMRC and full mission profile events.

  • Interface (liaise) independently, and in a team or collaborative environment with military, government, and nongovernment senior level officials within DOD and interagency.

  • Clearly convey complex information to senior levels of management.

  • Operate at the highest levels of classification in secure and remote areas and conduct activities that are critical to ensuring effective and efficient mission rehearsals and Full Mission Profile (FMP) event operations.
