Fortive Corporation Manufacturing Engineer in Johor Bahru, Malaysia

As a Manufacturing Engineer with Fluke Electronics, you will be tasked with analyzing, developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, manufacturing operation sequences, specifications, and equipment requirements for production/assembly of new and existing products. You will assist new product introduction to manufacturing, support released product, and assist with the retirement of legacy products. You will be a major contributor to and owner of key performance indicators in Operations, including: 5S/Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity. Primary Responsibilities:

· Perform manufacturing engineering assignments associated with the integrity of product design to assure quality and cost-effective production

· Advise engineering of existing production capabilities, equipment, facilities, and standard practices to contribute to the development of designs

· Maintain factory uptime through day-to-day problem solving, with the ability to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks autonomously

· Drive On-Time-Delivery while balancing freight cost via effective VOC with internal customers

· Leverage Kaizens and Lean manufacturing principles to surge or rescale factory capacity from S&OP signals and triggers

· Coordinate with regional procurement teams on PPV and localization initiatives

· Ensure efficient manufacturing through achieving quality, cost, operating specifications, customer and company standards, and requirements

· Plan, define, and implement new manufacturing systems as needed for new product introductions

· Responsible for managing and implementing projects of varying complexity and scope

· Ensure integrity of existing manufacturing documents and take ownership of creating new manufacturing documentation

· Perform routine product teardowns and process audits

· Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited university preferred

· 5+ years of related experience

· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (5S, SW, PSP, SMED, VRK, OEE, TPM, etc.) a plus

· Proven problem solving aptitude using various tools and techniques

· Leadership experience within a team, project, or job

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work and delivering results

· Comfortable working problems of moderate scope where data analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors

· SolidWorks and/or Pro Engineer (ProE) experience a plus

· Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings required

· Experience working in a metric/goal-driven environment

· Hands-on approach/experience with manufacturing processes preferred

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills; effectively able to present information and respond to feedback at any level within the global organization
