Actalent is currently partnering with a lab in the greater Johnson City area in need of a Chemist to join their team. Please see below for details and qualifications!

Description:

• Formulate, and characterize organic compounds for various applications

• Specializing primarily in analyzing impurities and discovering new ways to block them

• Conduct research and development to improve existing products and develop new ones

• Perform complex chemical reactions and analyze the results using advanced instrumentation (e.g., NMR, MS, IR, HPLC)

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analytical chemists, biochemists, and engineers

• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and reports

• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in organic chemistry and related fields

Skills & Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Organic Chemistry or a related field required

• 5-10 years experience in organic synthesis and characterization techniques

• Strong knowledge of modern analytical methods and instrumentation

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Intermediate Level
