Who will you be working with?

Our best-in-class South Africa Services team, led by the South Africa Services Leader, combines knowledge of customers’ networks and processes with deep domain expertise and tenured experience to deliver unparalleled support services for our products. Here you’ll interact daily with customers during the problem resolution process and partner with other key stakeholders to support our customers and their operations.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the South Africa Services team, you will be responsible for effectively managing Long-Term Parts Agreements (LTPAs), ensuring On-Time Delivery (OTD) and other contractual obligations are met while protecting Wabtec’s commercial interests. You will work closely with Customer Experience Leaders, the Warehouse Manager, and various business functions to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction. You will also integrate with the Key Account Manager, Services Team, Customer Experience Leaders, Commercial Operations, and Supply Chain teams, liaising with the Commercial Operations Leader (Comm Ops) and KAM on new upcoming contracts to ensure they are executable by Wabtec standards and interests. Additionally, you will liaise with KAMs to verify estimates for parts sales, adjust estimates according to material availability, and assist with the management of customer expectations.

  • with experience in Oracle ERP (or similar) and Salesforce systems.

  • who can interpret contracts and communicate parts supply agreement requirements.

  • with excellent communication skills in English.

You must manage time effectively, prioritize work to meet deadlines, and be willing to undertake varied duties and adopt new challenges.

Advanced Excel knowledge is essential, along with flexibility to attend external customer engagements throughout Southern Africa.

A minimum qualification of a Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related fields is required.

Proficiency in Portuguese and/or French, Six Sigma Green Belt certification, and experience with Power BI and in similar Contracts Management roles in related industries are advantageous.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Ensuring the execution of contract terms and conditions.

  • Ensuring Purchase Orders (POs) are captured in a timely manner by the responsible customer service personnel.

  • Providing sales estimates and forecasts for contracts.

  • Developing parts demand forecasts with customers.

  • Identifying Accelerated Sales Opportunities (ASOs) in conjunction with the Customer Experience Leaders (CXL) team.

  • Acting as the first point of escalation related to contractual issues, managing Accounts Receivable, and escalating to the Finance Manager (FM) and Key Account Manager (KAM) when a past due risk is identified.

  • Working with CXL and the Warehouse Manager to address risks to On-Time Delivery (OTD).

  • Liaising with various business functions to ensure OTD.

  • Preparing and presenting material delivery reports internally and to customers.

  • Measuring and reporting on contract performance, including OTD, Inventory, and Past Dues (PDs).

  • Translating customer needs into detailed spare parts fulfillment program plans.

  • Managing a network of resources to support spare parts fulfillment program execution.

  • Identifying opportunities to expand the spare parts fulfillment program.

Successful candidates will be employed under local employment conditions and must already satisfy local employment/work permit and residency regulations.
