Parsons Corporation Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Jizan, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for evaluating the composition and extent of each soil type and preparing recommendations to other disciplines regarding foundation types, site preparation, and suitability for industrial, support, and residential development.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage High Geotechnical Risks and address Residual Hazards, in collaboration with the clients and the Project Management team for technical solutions and mitigation strategies.

  • Interface with diverse consulting and design teams.Additionally, he shall assist in Port & Intermodal Planner to plan port expansions, assist in marine and intermodal terminal operations analysis and planning tasks, develop scopes of work for sub-consultants, and manage projects for the Royal Commission.

  • May supervise lower level planners, technicians, and administrative staff.

  • Review of geotechnical reports/documents prepared by geotechnical Consultant(s)/Contractors, A/E-Consultants/Sub-Consultants design and IFB submittals, construction Contractors transmittals and any other relevant documents.

  • Preparation of geotechnical design/investigation reports,

  • Providing technical guidance for geotechnical field and laboratory tests

  • Preparation of scopes of work for geotechnical studies,

  • Evaluation of geotechnical data,

  • Recommendations for site work,

  • Foundation types, and suitability,

  • Management of geotechnical studies,

  • Assessing the suitability of various soils for industrial development, and

  • Other work typical of the geotechnical discipline.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with MSc in Geotechnical Engineering from a Western-recognized

  • 10+ years of hands-on relevant experience in geotechnical engineering design and design review of onshore and marine large infrastructure and building projects.

  • Strong proficiency in geotechnical analysis software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio).

  • In-depth knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, soil mechanics, and foundation design.

  • Experience managing geotechnical projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
