Business Transformation Office (BTO) - Regulatory drives and executes critical regulatory change initiatives that create tangible value for clients and advisors in the $6B+ revenue Wealth Management (WM) business. Our transformation programs are sponsored by C-suite executives and span growth, regulatory, and location strategy. The team works cross-functionally with Senior Management, Front Office Advisors, Product Specialists, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Technology, and Supervision to implement complex, transformational change.

BTO Regulatory is a thought-leader on how to comply and is responsible for driving the end to end development of solutions, ultimately becoming experts in the rule and the business model. The team provides ongoing support post implementation and builds on the knowledge gained to continue to drive improvements, respond to industry changes as well as feedback from auditors, regulators, and the business.

Job Summary:

As a Vice President on the BTO Regulatory Monitoring team , part of the Business Transformation Office - Regulatory team , you will be responsible for driving end-to-end development of monitoring solutions, provide oversight, reporting, and escalation on regulatory operating business model observations. . You will work in partnership with Senior Management and Controls to provide ongoing oversight and escalation to ensure continued success of the policies, procedures, processes and technology established to comply with the regulations.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Identify monitoring needs based on understanding the processes, procedures and technology infrastructure implemented to comply with the regulations.

  • Drive the delivery of monitoring and reporting requirements in partnership with Senior Management, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Control Management, Supervision, Operations, Finance and Technology.

  • Establish monitoring owners and partner with them to design and develop appropriate dashboards, reports, controls, etc. to detect potential breaks in the regulatory framework.

  • Escalate findings to appropriate forums and track and oversee remediations and corrections, including where needed taking an active role to drive or execute the remedies.

  • Contribute to the design of operating model changes (e.g., organizational structures, governance, detailed processes, controls, and technology tools), based on insights gained through the monitoring framework.

  • Lead highly skilled cross-functional teams through monitoring lifecycles and governance tollgates by leveraging approaches in process re-engineering, organizational design, program and change management, as well as internal communication or training.

  • Leverage understanding of client and advisor wealth management processes to create and deliver compelling presentations for senior leadership that identify issues, details business/client impact, and builds a business case and consensus for implementation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, process design or data analytics.

  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking to understand and analyze large data sets and complex business processes, extracting trends, themes and opportunities from the information.

  • Demonstrated experience with oversight or monitoring, governance processes, control processes.

  • Familiarity with the wealth management infrastructure, including advisors, client service, product, technology, operations, supervision, and controls.

  • Experience in strategic consulting, management consulting, process improvement, data analytics.

  • End-to-end project management experience, including scoping, business case development, implementation, and change management.

  • Intermediate/Advanced experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Visio and PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • MBA (or equivalent) strongly preferred

  • Experience analyzing large data sets using various tools for data manipulation and extract trends, themes and opportunities from the information.

  • Experience with compliance, supervision, controls, and or legal initiatives

  • Financial services/business consultancy background in Wealth Management

  • Financial product and commissioned-based advisor business model knowledge
