Description

As a Front End Engineer (FEE) in the Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) team you will help us deliver the mission of making AWS the best place to run containers. The ECS team is building a core set of services that enables our customers to run, manage, and deploy containers at scale. You will be part of an exceptional team moving the needle towards making containers as the next generation compute platform. This is an opportunity to gain top-notch experience in cloud computing and to contribute to open source software.

We are looking for FEEs on our Experiences team to make it easy for developers and operators to build and scale their applications on highly-available clusters and services. You will be responsible to deliver these end-to-end experiences in AWS management console. The solutions you build will have high impact and rolled out to our large customer base across the world. In this role, you will have significant input in defining our strategy, shaping our product, driving and inculcating best engineering practices for our team and our customers. Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• 3+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience

• Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis)

• Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

• Experience building scalable, distributed, front-end experiences

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
