Citigroup Applications Development Tech Lead Analyst in Jersey City, New Jersey

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Tech Lead Analyst for its Jersey City, NJ location.

Duties: Analyze and collaborate technical solutions and strategies and provide optimum solutions for clients. Responsible for mentoring developers on implementation and organizing review activities such as design review, code review and technical document review. Responsible for systems analysis, design, coding, unit testing and other Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities. Oversee code reviews, exposure to continuous integration, test case reviews and ensure code development meets requirements. Explore existing application systems to determine areas of complexity and potential risks to successful implementation. Communicate with clients and project teams to clarify client needs, present tech team ideas and explain progress on development efforts. Contribute to improvement to software architecture, software development process and new technologies. Perform code and design reviews, ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes. Act as technical advisor and coach to team members. The position will oversee one direct report. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Seven (7) years of experience must include: Building micro-services using Java, Spring, Spring-Boot, and Kafka; Utilizing Microservice and Microservices best practices and patterns; Designing and developing microservices using domain driven design; Utilizing MongoDB database or similar NoSql databases; Building RestAPI to consume data from and push data into SQL and NoSql databases including Oracle and MongoDB; Developing applications using Message Oriented Middleware including Kafka, IBM MQ, and TIBCO EMS; Performing test driven development using frameworks including Junit and Mockito; Utilizing Agile methodology, techniques and frameworks, Kanban, or scrum to deliver solutions; Creating pipeline, CI/CD, Git, and Gitflow branching merging; Architecting and designing complex, low latency and scalable solutions; Working with code management tools including GIT and ClearCase and project management tools including JIRA and TeamTrack; Utilizing payments domain, payments schemes, ecosystems and payments messaging formats including EDI, ISO 20022, and SWIFT; and Working with cloud native architecture-based solutions OpenShift and Kubernetes. 40 hrs./wk.
