Genesis Corp dba Genesis10 Application Programmer in Jersey City, New Jersey
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ and Plano, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Will be part of a small team of technically strong individuals
- Perform design, coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process providing innovative and creative solutions in a collaborative manner under tight deadlines
- Build sophisticated and complex functionality to the Treasury business to be more effective in managing the client's liquidity
- Maintain high standard and follow best practices by re-factoring existing code to enhance readability, performance and general structure
Requirements:
- Strong expertise and working experience in Python
- Knowledge of computer science data structures and algorithms
- Knowledge of ORM libraries like SQL alchemy, etc.
- Experience in databases (relational/document/etc.) including NoSQL databases
- Experience building distributed and scalable complex services as well as Restful services and robust micro services
- Experience with web services development and REST interfaces in Python
- Experience with Analytic reporting tools like Tableau
- Analytical skills to perform technical and functional analysis with strong communication skills
- Able work with business users involving complex requirements gathering and translating them into actionable items for developers
- Experience working in Containers
- Maintain high standard and follow best practices by re-factoring existing code to enhance readability, performance and general structure
- Experience in CICD, Jenkins, Git
- Experience working on high volume applications
- Experience working in Agile teams
- High degree of initiative, commitment and technical excellence
- Record of successful delivery of software applications as an individual and with a team
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), desire to implement continuous delivery and integration within the development life cycle, understand agile software development methodologies and principles
- Self-motivated, self-managed, team-player, action results-focused, has a high command of verbal and written English and able to clearly communicate design, architecture, implementations and requirements
Desired skills:
- Knowledge of Liquidity Reports like Fed5g, LCR, NSFR, CRD IV, etc.
- Experience working in regulatory projects
Pay Range: $58.26 - $66.26
