KENDALL PACKAGING CORP Pouch Operator- 2nd Shift in JEFFERSON, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: -Under the direction of the Pouch Department Supervisor, this individual sets up and operates the pouching machine to create pouching bags from slit material, meeting delivery requirements and quality standards to customer specifications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following: -Determine which jobs are to be run based on production release reports and customer delivery requirements. Review job information packets. -Set up machine ensuring proper operation. Bring rolls to machine, thread film, ensuring accurate machine settings, rewind, footage, cores and blade sizes. -Observe flow of material through machine to detect irregular cutting and winding, ensuring specifications are correct. -Ensure that all partial pallets, bags, containers, are available and accessible as well as having proper documentation such as part number, weights, and dates. -Maintain departmental housekeeping standards. -Make certain all documentation and reporting is complete and accurate. -Ensure that the machine is producing quality products by conducting periodic checks for output. -Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, CSR\'s, sales, scheduling and plant staff related to pouching technology, capabilities, and processes as needed. -Provide guidance to pouch packing personnel. -Adhere to the GMP Policy. -All other duties as assigned by the company. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach above shoulders. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
