We currently have an opening for Welder I. This position lays out, fits, and joins together steel parts or pieces using various welding processes.

This is a full time, first shift position with excellent benefits and a pay range of $23.26 - $25.26 per hour.

Our Jefferson, Iowa facility has been in operation and supporting our local community since 1954.

Set up and adjust the welding machine to give proper penetration of weld. Make welds with structural integrity, good appearance, and which adhere to specifications. Repair or rework products as directed. Lay out, position, align, and fit components together. Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure in position for welding. Set up equipment fixtures and weld parts. Accurately report labor performed. Responsible for the day-to-day care and maintenance of the welding machine.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Must be able to effectively view and understand Engineering Drawings and production work instructions.

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Ability to effectively present information on a one-on-one basis.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide various units of measure.

Must be able to pass pre-employment skills testing.

At least six (6) months continuous welding experience in a production environment or possess welding diploma or certification prior to employment.

Must pass internal welding test.

Must have received steel qualifications internally prior to or within six (6) months of filling the position or have prior diploma or certification from an accredited test facility for steel welding.
