Education Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.

Skills required: A minimum of three years of experience in IT project management. Competent computer skills and in-depth knowledge of project management software such as Microsoft Project. Preferred Experience in IT project management in higher education or similar environment. Preferred Knowledge of higher education IT systems and processes. Preferred Experience in working with diverse and multicultural teams. Preferred Certification in project management, such as PMP or Agile.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics Project management and leadership skills for managing projects and the teams involved with them. Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management and explain technical issues. Analytical and problem-solving skills to handle any issues that arise during project completion. Organization and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget. Excellent resource planning and task scheduling skills.

The IT Project Manager is accountable for planning, executing, and delivering IT projects for Client. The IT Project Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders, such as faculty, staff, students, and external partners, to ensure that the IT projects align with the Client strategic goals and objectives.

Essential Job Functions Establishing project goals and devising plans to achieve those goals. Maintaining project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports. Managing resources for projects, such as computer equipment and personnel. Coordinating project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities. Implementing IT strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget. Utilizing project management tools to monitor project performance and schedule adherence. Conducting risk assessments for projects. Organizing meetings to discuss project goals and progress. Overseeing projects for grants and ensuring compliance with grant requirements and reporting.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities Communicating with project sponsors and stakeholders to provide updates and solicit feedback. Ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with Client policies and regulations. Providing training and support to project team members and end users. Evaluating project outcomes and lessons learned. Identifying and pursuing opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
