The Role

Are you motivated by driving business outcomes and interested in partnering closely with leadership in our newly-formed IFIT business within Lumen?

The AI & Innovation Strategist will play a pivotal, hands-on role in driving the adoption and implementation of AI solutions within the Finance organization. They will enable Lumen Finance to innovate, scale, drive efficiencies, and achieve more by developing and executing a comprehensive innovation strategy. This role will require a deep understanding of AI technologies, a strong business acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders

This role has been designated as fully remote, US.

The Main Responsibilities

• Creating a comprehensive AI strategy: Outline the organization's AI strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and the specific needs of the Finance department.

• Developing frameworks and methodologies: Set up frameworks and methodologies that enable Lumen Finance to follow best practices in AI deployment and operations.

• Overseeing AI deployment: Manage the end-to-end deployment of AI, custom AI, and Generative AI models, ensuring seamless integration and flawless operation within our data and technical ecosystems.

• Collaborating with Finance teams: Work with Finance teams to provide tools and workflows necessary for their effectiveness. Identify opportunities where automation and AI can unlock efficiencies, and prioritize these use cases based on potential impact, feasibility, and strategic alignment.

• Advising on AI technologies: Serve as a trusted advisor on AI technologies, providing guidance and expertise to stakeholders across the organization.

• Staying abreast of AI developments: Keep up with the latest developments in AI, including machine learning and large language models, to inform the organization's strategy.

• Evaluating and implementing AI technologies: Leverage a strong background in machine learning and large language models to evaluate, select, and implement AI technologies suited for our use cases.

What We Look For in a Candidate

• Advanced degree in computer science, data science, or a related field

• Minimum 8 years of experience in AI strategy, implementation, corporate strategy, and/or consulting

• Strong understanding of machine learning and large language models

• Proven ability to develop and execute AI roadmaps

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong business acumen and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders

• Experience working in a Finance organization is preferred

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

$166,210 - $221,610 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI

$174,120 - $232,160 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
