Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in Jasper, Indiana

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst in Jasper, Indiana. The job function entails providing technical assistance to customers, troubleshooting technical issues remotely, and maintaining accurate information on IT products or services. The role also involves refining documentation of clients' systems/network and assisting with client onboarding tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Address customers' technical queries as the initial point of contact, either over the phone or via our automated ticket prioritization system.

• Diagnose technical issues remotely using appropriate diagnostic techniques and questions.

• Determine and implement the most effective solution based on the problem details provided by customers.

• Guide customers through the problem-solving process.

• Forward unresolved technical issues to the next level of support personnel promptly.

• Maintain and update accurate information on IT products or services.

• Log events, problems, and their resolution within our support systems.

• Regularly update customer status and information.

• Implement customer feedback or suggestions to the relevant internal team.

• Propose improvements on procedures based on identified issues.

• Apply research and best practices within the area of expertise to refine documentation of clients' systems/network and troubleshooting guides.

• Develop scripts to automate repetitive network management functions.

• Provide support in client onboarding tasks.

• Deploy, troubleshoot, and support client PCs and Laptops, both remotely and on-site.

Requirements • Possession of a strong understanding and practical experience with TCP/IP.

• Proven experience with Anti-Virus software and its application.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware issues effectively.

• Experience with basic troubleshooting techniques.

• Proficiency in network troubleshooting.

• Certification in Comptia, Comptia A+, Comptia Network, Comptia Network+, and Comptia Security+ is highly desirable.

• Experience in preparing and maintaining technical documentation.

• Ability to create scripts to automate routine tasks.

• Extensive experience with remote support tools and supporting remote users.

• Experience in providing onsite support to clients.

• Familiarity with PC Desktop - Workstation.

• Experience in laptop hardware troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in using Active Directory.

• Practical experience with MS Office 365.

• Strong customer support skills and experience.

• Ability to support remote users and provide onsite support when needed.

• Familiarity with PC desktop and workstation setup and troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in managing laptop hardware issues.

• Knowledge and experience with Active Directory.

• Proficiency in MS Office 365.
