Position: Sr. Supervisor - Production

Reporting To: Manager - Production

Location: Jamnagar

Position Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible to run Electroplating department in efficiant manner to achive the production target, ensure that quality standard is maintain consistently and reduce the rejection.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Product parameters sheet handover to all technicians at starting of shift time.

• Plan review of Satin and Lacquer department.

• Cordination with Jiging and Unjiging area and buffing department for require materials.

• To conduct training on production process to technicians and checkers.

• Work monitoring of each production lines and ensure that it’s going on as per SOP.

• Responsible for process monitoring and improvement.

• Manage, maintain and troubleshoot the plating equipment and accessory equipment such as control panels, ETP, Heater.

• Activate the electroplating process within the tanks and therefore play an integral role to the entire electroplating process.

• Usually handle all of the various aspects of the plating process including cleaning, plating, pickling and even rinsing tanks.

• Need to ensure the appropriate temperature of the tanks that are involved in this process as well.

• Need to involved in quality control and ensure that the pieces / product are free of any flaws or defects.

• Replace any damaged parts to ensure that proper quantity levels are met as well.

• Handle the clean up and set up of the machines used in the work plating process, ensure not only that the proper number of pieces are produced but also ensure that the line and the machines are ready for future use as well.

• All workers should wear the required safety gear while on the premises. The equipment must also be kept clean and maintained .

• Prepare and organize production reports and maintain for the Plating Department.

  Skills Required:

• Chemical knowledge:

  Chemical in Powder Forms: Nickel sulfate, Nickel Chloride, Boric Asid, Copper Sulfate, Chrome Sulfate.etc…

  Chemical in Liquid Forms: Editing Brightener, leveler, Nickel plate, Sulfuric Acid, Hydrofluoric Acid.

• Material usage Knowledge: Zinc, Brass, MS, SS, Aluminium.

• SAP Knowledge:

  SAP PP Module for Productio, SAP QM Module for QMS and SAP MM Module for Stores.

  Educational Qualification and Experience:

• B.S.C. / B.Tech with 3 years of experience.

• Deploma in chemical with 5 years of experience.

• ITI (Chemical / Electroplating) with 7 years of experience.
