The AWS Partner Network (APN) includes tens of thousands of consulting partners, systems-integrators, technology partners, ISVs, distributors, and value-added resellers that are using AWS as their cloud delivery platform around the world.

As a Public Sector Partner Development Manager supporting the AWS Distribution Program, you will have the exciting opportunity to work exclusively with AWS Distributors to enable and grow our ecosystem of partners in Indonesia. In this role, you will establish deep business and strategic relationships with one or more AWS Distributors, interact daily with the distributor executive-stakeholders in support of accelerating revenue across multiple public sector market segments.

The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to drive strategic engagements and interact at the executive level. The individual should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions for their partner(s). You will work closely with the regional AWS sales, programs, and partner teams to drive joint sales initiatives to support the development of public sector partners within the assigned territories.

Key job responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the AWS public sector Distribution Team in helping to drive overall AWS sales, marketing, and program strategy.

• Manage and develop AWS Distribution Partners - developing and advancing relationships and growing AWS revenue to and through these partners.

• Maintain an accurate and robust pipeline, and be able to forecast business opportunities.

• Understand and navigate public sector contracting vehicles and procedures.

• Work with regional leadership teams to develop a strategic sales plan for your portfolio of partners.

• Execute the strategic sales and business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, service teams, legal, support, etc).

• Identify specific prospects/partners/channels to approach while communicating the specific value proposition for their business and use case.

• Work closely with the AWS sales teams to build relationships with partners in your vertical and foster joint pursuits.

• Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development team to guide the direction of our product offerings for developers.

• Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to closing new customers.

• Manage complex operational and contractual negotiations on behalf of your distributor across multiple AWS business units.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of partner/channel development within the information technology industry.

• 8+ years working at or with distributors such as Ingram Micro, Westcon, or TD SYNNEX, etc.

• 5+ years working within or supporting the public sector.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the enterprise software and/or cloud industry / global technology distributors.

• Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.

• Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences.

• Solid technical acumen, with a demonstrated track record of successfully driving emerging/disruptive technologies like open source software, virtualization and SaaS delivery models.

• Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize well in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
