Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Responsibilities What to Expect Supervises assigned personnel, establishes and approves work schedules, assigns work, trains employees, counsels employees, approves/disapproves leave, recommends commendatory/disciplinary actions, resolves employee problems. Orders foods and supplies to maintain proper operating levels. Maintains daily administrative work, including preparation and submission of accounting records, and operational reports. Responsible for inventory, cash controls, accountability and security of merchandise and equipment. Conducts physical inventories and prepares inventory reports. Supervises the preparation and sale of food items. Receives and checks quality of food and supply items. Ensures optimum stock availability through periodic stock counts and maintenance of sales records to ensure correct pre-preparation, issuance and consumption is in accordance with requirements. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications What are we looking for? Must be knowledgeable in the operation of a Food Service Activity. Must have experience in and knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and food service operations. Basic skills in business administration, scheduling, accounting, policies, and performance standards. Knowledge and skill to evaluate a variety of raw and cooked food items. Knowledge of food spoilage, food borne illness and food safety. Skill to follow oral and written instructions. Skill to supervise employees in the accomplishment of work. Must be able to successfully complete and maintain a proper food safety/sanitation; alcohol serving training program; and/or ServSafe trainer certification, as applicable.
