BAE Systems Shiplift Maintenance Supervisor in Jacksonville, Florida

Our Jacksonville Ship Repair Division is seeking to hire a Shiplift Maintenance Supervisor who will oversee and support our state of the art Shiplift capabililities program.

Responsible for the safe and effective maintenance program for all Shiplift, Land Level Facility, and all support structure equipment. Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions include:

Manage and oversee the facilities and maintenance organization.

Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.

Ensure all engineering projects and maintenance activities adhere to proper safety standards, OSHA regulations, ADA compliance, and environmental goals.

Responsible for the facilities engineering design and construction of new facilities, expansions, and alterations to existing facilities.

Supervise technical requirements of assigned projects including monitoring and identifying deviations in budgets, schedules, and performance.

Develop and implement annual maintenance plan including preventative and predictive maintenance.

Analyze and determine preventative maintenance schedules for all general maintenance tools and equipment, support equipment, and department vehicles.

Manage Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage resources and ensure maximum utilization of capabilities, efficiency, accurate, and timely reports.

Ensure all systems associated with building infrastructure and Shiplift equipment is in operational readiness at all times.

Assist with supervision, training, and evaluating other facilities/maintenance personnel.

Prepare reports for management concerning maintenance and project progress. Assist in planning of projects by evaluating requirements and developing schedules, budgets, and personnel requirements.

Share responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.

Schedule and monitor subcontractors.

Provide leadership for assigned in-house direct reports skilled in a variety of trade disciplines needed to operate, repair, and maintain buildings. Execute required HR activities for assigned direct reports while adhering to company policy, procedures, and guidance.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

Typically requires a High School Diploma, with eight (8 ) years of related experience in a heavy industrial environment, or the overall equivalent.

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and industry-related software platforms.

Experience managing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and implementing Project Management methodologies.

Ability to analyze Facilities problems and implement sustainable solutions.

Highly effective communicator, both verbal and written.

Ability to translate information and data into meaningful presentations.

Proven interpersonal skills. An active team participant able to collaborate with a diverse group, cross-functionally, and with internal and external customers.

Project management experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain Defense Biometric Identification System "DBIDS" access card.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

What will put you ahead:

  • 8 years experience managing/performing maintenance on Shiplift or Synchro-lift hoists, platforms and associated equipment.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $71600 - $121700

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
