We are seeking an organized and customer-focused Service Manager to join our team at a well established commercial construction company. This role is essential to ensuring that our clients receive timely and professional responses to their roofing issues, especially during periods of high demand, such as during heavy rain. The Service Manager will log and manage roof leak work orders, coordinate schedules, and ensure that all service requests are completed efficiently. Skills and Qualifications

  • Outgoing, positive attitude with strong communication skills, especially when dealing with customers in stressful situations.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable learning and using service management software (FCS) – prior experience is a plus but not required.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.

  • Basic invoicing and administrative skills.

  • strong team player with the ability to collaborate across departments.

salary: $50,000 - $55,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Work Order Management: Log all roof leak work orders using the FCS system. Ensure that every customer receives prompt acknowledgment of their work order.

  • Customer Communication: Regularly update customers on the status of their work orders from receipt to completion, ensuring exceptional customer service and managing expectations effectively.

  • Scheduling: Coordinate service crews and schedule roof leak repairs in a timely manner, prioritizing urgent cases and maintaining efficient use of resources.

  • Invoicing: Accurately prepare and process invoices for completed work orders, ensuring all details are captured in the FCS system.

  • Issue Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for customers experiencing leaks, including handling difficult or upset customers with empathy and professionalism.

  • Team Coordination: Work closely with roofing technicians and other team members to ensure seamless operations, especially during high-volume periods.

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor work order completion, track metrics for service efficiency, and assist with reporting on performance.

  • Quality Control: Review completed work to ensure it meets company standards and follow up with customers to confirm satisfaction.

  • Training: Quickly learn the FCS system and provide support to others on its usage if needed.

  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle an influx of leak calls, particularly during adverse weather conditions. During a week and a half of rain, we typically receive around 180 calls.
