We're hiring a temporary-to-hire Receptionist for a construction company on the Southside of Jacksonville, off Phillips Highway. This fully in-office role (7:30 AM - 4:30 PM) involves greeting guests, answering phones, managing mail, and supporting the billing team with invoices and purchase orders. Basic Excel skills and data entry experience are required.
Ideal candidates will have prior receptionist or customer service experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. While this role offers a stable position, it does not have clear advancement opportunities. Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Greet visitors and provide a warm, professional welcome to all guests.
Answer and direct phone calls in a courteous and efficient manner.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
Assist with various administrative tasks, including data entry and filing.
Coordinate appointments and meetings for staff members.
Handle inquiries and provide accurate information about the company's products/services.
Support the billing team with entering POs and ensuring invoice accuracy utilizing Excel.
Collaborate with different departments to ensure smooth communication and operations.
Uphold a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer-facing role is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding interpersonal skills and a positive attitude. Proficient in using MS Office Suite and basic computer skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently. strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Professional appearance and demeanor. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications are a plus.
