This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking an experienced Proposal Specialist to join our team that can work remotely.

The candidate supports the Capture/Proposal team in the completion of written proposal responses, content documents and other paperwork related to bids, and color review teams. The Proposal Specialist works on projects as assigned in response to solicitations, rubrics, or other items. This position requires technical writing and time management skills in order to meet project deadlines.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Support proposal development activities in collaboration with the Capture/Proposal team.

  • Accomplish assigned proposal activities within proposal schedules and deadlines, collaborating with SMEs and technical content contributor and monitoring the progress and status of the assigned proposal.

  • Analyze solicitation requirements to ensure comprehensive/compliant content.

  • Develop compliant technical concepts in form of graphics, diagrams, and written content.

  • Ensure compliance with solicitation requirements, and proper placement of graphics.

  • Participate in regular proposal progress status meetings.

  • Support proposal reviews and recovery activities.

  • Interview technical SMEs and translate into technical content.

  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.

  • 10+ years of experience in technical writing.

  • 5+ years of federal/defense proposal development skills.

  • Strong knowledge of proposal development; ability to read and understand federal/defense solicitation documentation.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent proofreading, editing, and document formatting skills.

  • Ability to think end-to-end, support long-term projects, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously under strict deadlines.

  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet deadlines.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word.
