Job Description

We are seeking experienced Plumbers for a new commercial construction projects located throughout Jacksonville, FL. This is a contract to hire position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of commercial construction experience and be proficient in working with PVC/CPVC pipes. Experience with copper brazing/soldering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial plumbing tasks from rough-in to trim/fixture installations.

• Cut and thread pipes accurately.

• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

• Conduct rough-ins above ground, including the installation of vents, sewers, connections, and waterlines.

• Complete finish or trim out installations, ensuring fixtures and connections are ready for use (toilets, sinks, showers/bathtubs, hardware).

• Install domestic water and sanitary systems.

• Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipes to required angles using appropriate tools.

• Study building plans and inspect structures to determine materials and equipment needs, and plan installation sequences.

• Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures using measuring instruments.

• Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.

• Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering/brazing/welding equipment.

• Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, sinks, and toilets.

• Direct helpers engaged in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 5+ years of commercial construction experience.

• Proficiency in working with PVC/CPVC pipes.

• Experience in reading blueprints and specifications.

• Proficiency in rough-ins and finish/trim out plumbing tasks.

• Experience with domestic water and sanitary systems.

• Ability to measure, cut, thread, or bend pipes accurately.

• Knowledge of building plans and structure inspection.

• Experience in locating and marking pipe installations.

• Ability to detect and locate leaks using pressure gauges.

• Ability to assemble pipe sections and fittings.

• Experience installing pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, and appliances.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with copper brazing/soldering is a plus.

• Must have own tools.

• Must have personal protective equipment (PPE).
