Finxact - Senior Kafka Solutions Architect

What does a successful Senior Kafka Solutions Architect do at Fiserv?

You will design and implement scalable and efficient Kafka solutions for our Finxact clients.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and design Kafka-based solutions to meet their needs

• Create technical specifications and architecture designs for Kafka implementation projects

• Lead and participate in the development, testing, and deployment of Kafka solutions

• Optimize Kafka clusters to ensure high performance and scalability

• Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of Kafka implementations

• Stay up to date with the latest Kafka features and enhancements, and provide recommendations to the team

• Mentor and guide junior team members in Kafka best practices

What you will need to have:

• 6+ years of experience as a solutions architect in the Fintech industry

• 6+ years of experience with Kafka architecture and concepts: topics, partitions, producers, consumers, and brokers

• 6+ years of experience with Kafka ecosystem components: ZooKeeper, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams

• 6+ years of experience with Kafka installation, configuration, cluster setup and monitoring and alerting tools, such as Confluent Control Center or Grafana.

• 6+ year of experience in Java or Scala

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

What would be great to have:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS or Azure

• Certifications or advance degree
