Aston Carter Financial Analyst in Jacksonville, Florida

Job Title: Financial Analyst

Candidates must sit in the Northeast Florida market, as this is a remote with restrictions role, as the candidate may need to go on-site every now and then

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will analyze current and past financial data and performance, prepare reports and projections, and assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. You will also coordinate with other finance team members to perform month-end close duties, including variance analysis and reporting. Additionally, you will provide financial support for assigned business units and assist the accounting team with audit activities, reporting, and special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current and past financial data and performance.

  • Prepare reports and projections based on financial analyses.

  • Prepare annual budget and periodic forecasts for assigned business support areas.

  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for entities and programs.

  • Assist with the preparation of balance sheet, cash flow, and capex budgets and forecasts.

  • Coordinate with other finance team members to perform month-end close duties, including variance analysis and related reporting with relevant commentary.

  • Provide general financial support for assigned business units.

  • Support the accounting team as needed for audit activities, reporting, and special projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • BS degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a FP&A role.

  • Understanding of indirect cash flow, reconciliations, and balance sheet reporting.

  • Experience researching, analyzing, and communicating financial data to non-financial leaders.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.46/hr.
