A valued client of ours is a local company in South Jacksonville in an excited and growing indstury. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their winning team. If you are passionate about numbers, have a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a dynamic environment, we'd love to hear from you! This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity. There will be career advancement opportunities as well as a full complement of benefits upon going permanent.

salary: $22 - $23 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approval

• Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions, including monthly statements, and resolve discrepancies

• Maintain and update vendor files, including W-9s and 1099 forms, and respond to vendor inquiries

• Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies

• Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable, including journal entries and accruals

• Ensure all transactions comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations

• Generate accounts payable reports and provide analysis as needed
