Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Jacksonville, Florida. You will be part of a team that oversees, implements, and maintains accounting systems, procedures, and policies. This role ensures accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of accounting data and acts as liaison providing required information and ensuring proper information is maintained.

Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming calls and email queries from vendors, customers, and internal staff

• Research and correct discrepancies in accounting records

• Record transactions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and General Ledger

• Maintain accurate accounting records and spreadsheets

• Process payments, invoices, Purchase Orders, check requests, and bank deposits

• Reconcile bank statements and general ledgers

• Follow up on overdue accounts to obtain payment

• Work on ad hoc projects as assigned

• Use Quickbooks Online and Excel Formulas to manage and analyze accounting data

• Apply GAAP Accounting principles to all accounting tasks

• Use Pivot Table and other Spreadsheet Programs for data organization and analysis

• Apply 10-Key Accounting skills for data entry and calculations

• Conduct Account Reconciliation for accurate accounting records

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions

• Provision accounts as required. Requirements • Proficiency in Quickbooks Online

• Proficient in Excel Formulas

• Knowledge of GAAP Accounting

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Accounts Provisioning

• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to perform Account Reconciliation

• Knowledge of 10 - Key Accounting

• Proficiency in using Pivot Table

• Experience in Spreadsheet Programs
