Responsibilities

The department of Otolaryngology at Mayo Clinic, Florida is seeking Audiologist to join our division of Audiology.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide direct patient care (50% FTE) and conduct clinical and translational research (50% FTE)

  • Oversee the delivery of patient care and partner with a team of clinical audiologists, audiology externs, and audiology assistants.

  • Develop clinical protocols and guide the team on audiology standards and procedures.

  • Offer clinical lectures for the continuing education of audiologists, audiology externs, ENT residents, and fellows.

  • Provide audiology expertise and guidance on intricate clinical cases during multidisciplinary clinics within the otolaryngology department and across the diverse Mayo Clinic departments.

  • Initiate and oversee a translational research program that focuses on clinical applications in audiology, particularly in the areas of vestibular sciences, cochlear implants, and/or diagnostic audiology.

  • Collaborate with research faculty and the audiology team to secure extramural funding by developing grant applications.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in audiology or hearing sciences from an accredited institution.

  • Licensed or ability to obtain license to practice audiology in the state of Florida.
