Large utility is looking for a Senior Category Manager in Jackson, MI. The Senior Category Manager leads and executes complex sourcing programs, conducts thorough market analysis, develops strategic sourcing strategies, negotiates contracts, fosters supplier relationships and drives continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes. responsibilities:

  • Lead, define, develop, and execute complex sourcing programs for key spend categories.

  • Collaborate with internal customers, suppliers, and supply chain teams to deliver value-added outcomes.

  • Perform complex market and financial analysis to understand market forces and mitigate business risks.

  • Lead the process from specification definition to contract administration.

  • Develop thorough and effective sourcing strategies based on spend and market analyses.

  • Foster high levels of competition to improve performance while reducing costs.

  • Develop negotiation strategies, collaborate on contract positions, and conduct negotiations for optimal business outcomes.
