Contour T & M Shop Inc seeks five Production Machinists in Jackson Michigan for temporary full-time employment. Work will be performed in two sites in Jackson, Michigan. Will perate bliss stamping press: Operate push button press, maintenance of press. Quality check parts. Operate a fork truck: To load and unload heat treat overs. Brass Trimmer: Operate, read blueprints. GC parts.  Make adjustments to machine. Packaging and Shipping:  Must understand job orders and fill shipping and packaging. Ensure ready for AM delivery. Applicants must have 12 months prior experience as a machinist operating a stamping press and trimmer, providing maintenance to the machinery and ensuring press' quality assurance. Contour will offer 40 hours of work per week, Monday -- Friday 7:00AM until 4:00PM. Work on Saturdays may be required. Workers are needed to begin work on 5/5/2025 through 5/4/2026. Workers will be paid no less than $22.75 per hour, and workers with more experience may be paid higher rates. Work on Saturdays may be required, and workers will be paid overtime, at least $34.13 per hour, for any hours over 40 per week. Contour will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid on Friday (bi-weekly) by check. Contour will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, Contour will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment.  The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.  Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $10 p/day during travel to a maximum of $30 p/day with receipts. Workers are responsible for daily transportation to and from Contour, Jackson. Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees).
