Job Title: Machinist
Job Description
Set up and operate CNC turning centers after downloading the provided CAM program, while maintaining a tolerance of +/-.0004. Interpret complex detail drawings and turn high-quality parts to achieve quoted cycle times in a job shop environment with typical volumes ranging from 1 to 100 pieces.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC turning centers.
Download and implement provided CAM programs.
Maintain a tolerance of +/-.0004 during operations.
Interpret complex detail drawings accurately.
Turn high-quality parts within the quoted cycle times.
Work efficiently in a job shop environment with varying volumes (1 to 100 pieces).
Essential Skills
3+ years of experience with CNC mills or CNC lathes.
Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines.
Knowledge of CNC lathe and CNC milling operations.
Ability to interpret complex detail drawings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with diverse customer bases, including the automotive, food packaging, aerospace, and oil/gas industries.

Work Environment
The position is based in a job shop specializing in custom machining with a diverse customer base across various industries. The work schedule is the 1st shift, running from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a half day on Saturday. There is an option to start at 6am, and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break is included. The company has 25 employees and fosters a collaborative work environment.
