As an Event Facilities Aide, you will be responsible for the conversion process in preparation for events in all facilities and assist with the general cleaning and maintenance of all facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform set up and teardown duties utilizing manual labor skills to support operations and all related functions and events including, but not limited to, meeting rooms, banquet spaces, concourse areas, and ancillary entrances as they relate to the need for tables, chairs, furniture, pipe and drape, barricades, bike rack, furniture, etc. in preparation for events.

  • Ensure the building is properly set and converted during pre- and post-event conversions.

  • Perform duties associated with loading dock operations including warehousing, shipments & deliveries, assembly, truck elevators, freight elevators, loading pad, and material-handling equipment.

  • Perform minor facility maintenance tasks such as painting, seat repair, dry wall repair, and minor carpentry.

  • Organize and maintain facility equipment and storage areas.

  • Operate forklifts, scissors lifts, pallet jacks, and all equipment necessary to maintain cleanliness in the facility.

  • Assemble and maintain furniture and perform other general duties.

  • Snow removal and maintenance of the facilities grounds.

  • Collect and dispose of trash and waste paper from receptacles.

  • Maintain sanitary restrooms and fixtures, wash windows, elevators, walls, and ceilings.

  • Sweep, mop, wax buff, vacuum, and clean floors in all facilities.

  • Clean, monitor, and restock restrooms.

    Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED, and

  • One (1) to three (3) months related experience, -OR-

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must be able to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled overtime shifts as needed while maintaining reliable attendance.

    Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.

  • Must be self-motivated and outgoing with the ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.

    Physical Demands

  • Must have the physical ability to bend, stoop, and maneuver around facility(ies), at times extensive walking and/or standing for 8-10 hours or greater as required.

  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility to move quickly to the different areas of the facility as demands require.

  • Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 75+ lbs.

Position is for 20 work hours per week. Flexibility within this is available based on event schedule at facility. If facility has an event, early morning hours for setup will be expected availability.

Wage Range: $18.00/hour - $19.50/hour
