Ithaca College ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - ARCHITECTURAL STUDIES in Ithaca, New York

The Ithaca College School of Humanities and Sciences invites applications for a temporary, full time, 9-month teaching position in Architectural Studies, beginning on August 16, 2024. The successful candidate will teach six courses (24 credits). This includes the introductory world history course Architecture Across Cultures (https://catalog.ithaca.edu/undergrad/coursesaz/arth/) , as well as intermediate architectural history/theory courses in areas consistent with their expertise. Candidates who can offer courses addressing pre-1800 material are especially encouraged to apply.

Qualifications: A PhD in architecture or closely related field (ABD accepted) or post-professional degree in architecture is preferred. A master’s degree in architecture, architectural history, or related field will be considered. Candidates who have college-level teaching experience are preferred.

All bargaining unit faculty members shall be covered by the collective bargaining agreement between Ithaca College and Services Employees International Union, Local 200 United. Full time bargaining unit employees are all limited term faculty teaching term appointments on a full-time non-tenured and non-tenure track basis employed by Ithaca College at its Ithaca, New York campus.
