Main Responsibilities:

The AMET Corporate Communications Lead is responsible for the strategic development and tactical delivery of internal and external communications activities related to Sanofi Consumer Healthcare in AMET.

The role is primarily focused on:

Internal communications supporting Sanofi’s Consumer Healthcare business in AMET

  • Leadership Communications

  • Change Communications

  • Site Communications

External reputation management, including

  • Corporate public relations

  • Unbranded comms

  • Product alerts and Crisis and issues management,

  • Overseeing brand public relations in collaboration with brand marketing teams

Transition-related Comms, both Internal and External

  • Establishing a reputation as a Sanofi CHC standalone

  • Certification as B-Corp and establishing it as a competitive advantage to Sanofi CHC

  • With a direct reporting line to the AMET Zone Leader Consumer Healthcare. The AMET Corporate Communications Manager provides strategic counsel to AMET Sanofi Consumer Healthcare’s Leadership Team and is a collaborative partner to Sanofi’s broader AMET Communications Team.

Major stakeholders include

  • Head of Public Affairs, AMET

  • Head of Human Resources, Sanofi Consumer Healthcare AMET

  • Site Director, Industrial Affairs AMET

  • Head of Sales, Sanofi Consumer Healthcare AMET

  • Sanofi Consumer Healthcare AMET brand teams

Priorities:

Internal communications

  • Deliver all internal communications assets to support delivery of the plan including content for Sanofi’s enterprise social platform, Yammer, presentations for Town Halls and other content as required.

  • Deliver regular employee events including Town Halls, All Hands meetings, or major celebrations.

  • Support the AMET Consumer Healthcare leadership team in navigating organisational or structural change by developing appropriate communications plans and supporting content.

  • Work in partnership with Sanofi AMET’s Communications Team to ensure the Consumer Healthcare business is well represented in all Sanofi AMET communications.

  • Work with global Consumer Healthcare Communications colleagues to ensure Consumer Healthcare AMET is well represented in global channels.

  • Develop the yearly internal communications plan and rhythm for Sanofi’s Consumer Healthcare business in AMET.

Leadership communications counsel

  • Work as an integral member of the Consumer Healthcare AMET Leadership Team and partner with the Zone Leader Consumer Healthcare AMET to support the local business growth strategy.

  • Provide strategic counsel on corporate and brand reputational risk and other implications of business policies, practices, and actions, as well as strategic internal communications.

  • Develop and deliver a holistic communications strategy and plan for Sanofi Consumer Healthcare AMET, incorporating internal communications and brand and corporate public relations.

Brand and corporate public relations

  • Under the leadership of the Brand and Innovation Lead of AMET:

  • Work closely with Consumer Healthcare brand teams and supporting agencies to oversee the successful delivery of brand public relations programs.

  • Position the Consumer Healthcare business as a socially conscious industry leader, taking into consideration necessary alignment with global corporate messages and priorities.

  • Respond to brand and corporate media queries.

  • Work as an active member of industry communications committees or policy-shaping organizations, as appropriate.

  • Coaching the business to build capabilities in brand and corporate public relations

About you:

Essential Qualifications

  • At least 10 years in similar corporate communications roles

  • Experience in corporate internal communications including leadership advisory on organizational change management.

  • Experience managing brand and corporate PR programs

  • Exceptional written skills

  • Experience working with agencies to develop high quality content including videos and social content

  • Degree qualified in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with a consumer goods business

  • Experience working as part of a cross functional communications team

  • Experience building internal communications content in-house using web-based platforms

  • Where applicable performance manages the team through setting and reviewing priorities, provide timely feedback about performance and coaches team members to help them achieve their goals

  • Supports the professional and career development of the team by identifying the skills and competencies that employees need for their current and prospective roles and provide opportunities to learn and practice new skills

  • Leads the building of a motivated and engaged team through the use of formal and informal recognition, regular communications and the encouragement of cooperation between individuals and teams

  • Abide by the requirements of the internal Code of Ethics including but not restricted to maintaining high professional standards of conduct in line with the Company procedure with a duty of care to the reputation of the Company

  • Takes personal accountability to use personal experience and knowledge, as well as the training and tools provided by Sanofi, to maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all ethics and governance relevant to the role (Sanofi Policies and Procedures and any relevant legal requirements) and demonstrate personal leadership in applying these to all work undertaken.

  • Escalates any decisions, or seek the support of colleagues or management if personal knowledge and understanding is not at the level required to carry out any part of the role
