The Ishpeming Township Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the Position of a full time Police Officer. The Township offers a competitive benefit package and salary with a 2% contribution into an employer funded MERS defined benefit plan. Officers with experience may receive a higher starting pay and qualify for ACT 88 reciprocal pension benefits.

Basic Requirements:

· Must be 21 years of age at time of appointment

· High School diploma or equivalent

· No Felony convictions. Misdemeanor convictions will be screened on a case-by-case basis.

· Must pass an interview, background investigation, physical examination, drug screening and psychological examination.

· Applicants must be MCOLES certified and licensed to operate a vehicle in the State of Michigan.
