Grow your career with an innovative global bank in Irving, TX as a Risk and Control Analyst with knowledge of institutional loans. Contract role with strong possibility of extension. Will require working a hybrid schedule 2-3 days onsite per week.

Join one of the world's most renowned global banks and trusted brand with over 200 years of continuously evolving financial services worldwide. Will be focused on a system migration, but more from a Risk and Control angle. Will focus on a geographic section of the roll out (including the operational readiness of the scope of project plan, testing, development, deployment of upstream and downstream feeds to partner systems, and operational readiness). There will be a focus on Balance Sheet integrity and reporting. You will work alongside some of the smartest minds in the industry who are excited to share their knowledge and to learn from you.

Contract Duration: 12+ Months

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience navigating and networking across an enterprise utilizing internal and external resources.

• Background in risk & control, internal audit - capable of conducting control mapping exercises and ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of controls.

• Understand loan products (FlexCube, LoanIQ), operations, technology, and product control implications.

• Demonstrated strong business knowledge including the understanding of core loan operations operational risks, supporting processes and operations.

• Demonstrated understanding of operational risk and gap identification.

• Experience with system to system Migration.

• Understanding of accounting principles.

• Strong proficiency in Excel for handling large data sets, using pivot tables, and filtering.

• Ability to create presentations in PowerPoint to document and present findings.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Commercial Loan product experience: understanding institutional loans, including syndicated loans, is preferred.

• Knowledge of loan trading is also beneficial.

• Business writing experience.

• System to system migration experience.

• Accounting/controllership experience.

What You Will Be Doing

• Part of the Risk and Control 1st line of defense organization, and will act as a liaison, a point of check and challenge, gap assess, and assist in evaluating issues with potential impacts for next steps with a Risk and Control lens.

• Contribute to risk assessments and drives actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.

• Provide governance and oversight may include (not limited to) processing risk, operational readiness, or technology risk for example.

• Evaluate the control environment by ensuring appropriate controls are in place.

• Ensure project completion, special assignments, and other ad hoc activities as required.

• Ensure the Operations Team is in compliance with all regulatory policies and procedures.

• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

• Advise on standards, procedures and concepts around which others will operate.
