Citigroup Product Developer, VP in Irving, Texas

We are seeking a self-starting and innovative Product Manager to join the Lending Product Strategy organization on a mission to transform how Citi manages Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR). The vision is to transform how Citi originates, underwrites, and monitors credit products, by creating and executing strategies that improve fundamental credit analysis and process using data and technology.

As a Product Manager, you will bring together credit control process, policy, and technology to re-think the wholesale lending process end-to-end. You will manage and execute product strategies and approaches that effect a few areas, including underwriting process controls, origination decision making and credit monitoring, and quantitative measurement of benefit of product rollout. You will be responsible for managing requirements, providing data insights and making recommendations that meets the needs of differing business lines, regions, and regulatory demands. To be successful in this role, you will bring an understanding of lending products, how they are underwritten and how risk is managed. Additionally, you will build long-terms partnerships across a variety of stakeholders including Underwriting, Risk, Banking and Technology.

Credit Risk Activities in Scope for Transformation:

  • Periodic Assessment and Client Monitoring – Transformation of the credit review processes including annual reviews and problem credits

  • Originations & Amendments – Transformation of the deal management lifecycle from prospecting through underwriting, credit administration, and booking operations

  • Core Services – Transformation of the underlying foundation, data, and functional services that support the above business activities (e.g. financial spreading, collateral management, covenant monitoring, etc.)

Key Focuses:

  • Partner extensively with Underwriters, Bankers and Risk to develop controls for mitigating operational risk and ensuring timely, accurate and complete data for their portfolios

  • Providing transparency to stakeholders on the end-to-end underwriting process through KPIs, as well as telling the story on the quantitative benefits of the team’s strategies.

  • Drive digital transformation by re-engineering operational business processes, focusing on optimizing target state processes and end-to-end workflow orchestration with emerging technologies like AI.

  • Support the execution of the product rollout to stakeholders to meet near-term regulatory commitments, including tracking, training and direct end-user support

  • Build a target state Product Quality Management program by intaking product feedback from user’s and working to prioritize to meet their needs with developers

  • Partner with stakeholders to influence policies, standards, and procedures to align with overall product strategy

  • Follow market, industry, and client trends and adapt them for application in Citi’s products and solutions platforms (AI/ML/etc.)

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience in a credit risk management, corporate underwriting, front office, or similar role involved in credit analysis, origination decision making or credit monitoring

  • Direct experience with end-to-end project delivery, preferably in product development methodologies

  • Experience working with data sets/models and formulating recommendations based on information; deep knowledge of various analytical tools including Excel, Tableau, SQL

  • Comfortable with performing data investigations that require a high degree of accuracy with tight timelines.

  • Project Management skills with experience leading large cross functional initiatives

  • Ability to structure and break down problems, develop solutions, and to drive to results.

  • Ability to create business analysis, troubleshoot data quality issues, and conduct exploratory and descriptive analysis of business datasets.

  • Comfortable creating and leading executive level presentations to key stakeholders in a clear, concise and articulative manner.

  • Understand the bigger picture and feel comfortable explaining your organization’s strategy to others

  • Track record of effectively creating stakeholder partnerships and collaborating across the organization

  • Intellectual curiosity, analytical and conceptual thinker

  • Proactively seeks and develops new opportunities.

  • Attention to detail and process/analytic mindset.

  • Process Management knowledge with a propensity for detail and comprehensiveness of content

  • BS degree; Masters a plus

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$114,720.00 - $172,080.00
