Citigroup Head of Fraud and Financial Crimes Issue Management in Irving, Texas

The Head of Fraud and Financial Crimes Issue Management manages multiple teams through other managers and is responsible for driving the direction and performance of the Issue Management pillar that supports Financial Crimes and Fraud Prevention across US Personal Banking and Wealth as well as Fraud Prevention across Services, Markets and Banking. Requires a strong understanding of Citi policy as it relates to compliance and operational risk, as well as control performance and specifically Issue Management. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Responsible for delivering on time remediation and comprehensive risk mitigation for Issue inventory, which may include high severity, complex Issues that span multiple business lines and geographies. Full management responsibility for multiple teams, including management of people, expense, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations. May be doing involved or responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities or initiatives. This role is as an integral member of the Fraud and Financial Crimes Control Organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Issue Management vertical supporting Services, Markets, Banking, USPB and Wealth Fraud and Financial Crimes.

  • Deliver execution compliant with Global Issue Management Policy, Standard and Procedure.

  • Look across businesses and geographies to identify best practices associated with Issue Management and adopts these practices consistently across team to deliver on time and comprehensive issue remediation.

  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities within team and holds individuals and managers accountable for performance.

  • Manage and report on the identification of issue root cause, partnering with control and process owners to recommendations holistic corrective actions and improvements, provide check and challenge to ensure appropriate escalation in according with Issue Management and Escalation Policies.

  • Oversee the process to identify, assess, record and response to Operational and Compliance Risk events, ensuring these are captured accurately, timely and in accordance with requirements.

  • Manage delivery of issue remediation and ensure sufficient subject matter expertise and capacity exists to enable mitigation of identified risks across businesses

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience

  • Experience managing teams with broad accountability in a complex environment. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional organization Ability to balance strategic priorities with tactical actions Proven track record and accountability in making quick decision that have an immediate impact on business financials.

  • Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary.

  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate capability to evaluate the effectiveness of our current routines and structure, define strategic direction and deliver tactical execution.

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
