Robert Half Controller in Irving, Texas

Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team located in Irving, Texas. This role is primarily involved in overseeing and managing all aspects of our accounting operations. The Controller will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial documents, coordinating with external auditors, and providing internal reporting and leadership within the accounting department. This role is key to the efficient and effective management of our financial resources.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage a comprehensive system of accounting policies and operations

• Ensure timely processing of vendor payments and pending accounts payable

• Check the completeness and accuracy of customer invoices and compare them to budget expectations

• Review accounts receivable balances monthly for past-due accounts

• Monitor and review monthly bank reconciliations to ensure sufficient cash and funding balances for operational needs

• Review manual journal entries included in month-end close for accuracy and timely posting to the general ledger

• Coordinate with external financial statement auditors and manage the audit process to meet required deadlines

• Collaborate with compliance and care management teams to ensure accurate and timely submission of all required state filings

• Review and distribute internally developed reports, including monthly reports and reconciliations required for executive leadership

• Manage quarterly financial meetings and production of relevant materials

• Develop and distribute monthly cost-center reporting

• Complete ad hoc reporting and schedules as required

• Participate in required company meetings as an advocate for strong financial management and controls. Requirements • Proficiency in 3M and CRM

• Experience with Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with Crystal Reports

• Aptitude for Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Understanding of Auditing processes

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Relevant detail oriented qualifications would be an advantage

• Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial.
