JOB OPPORTUNITY: STRUCTURAL DRAFTER

A Global Engineering and Architecture firm specializing in marine & offshore, oil & gas, and industrial manufacturing industries is seeking a Structural Drafter to join their team in Irvine, CA.

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves creating bills of material, performing engineering calculations, and producing structural drawings and models using Revit Structure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering principles and experience with various construction materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create bills of material and enter accurate information into the system.

• Perform engineering calculations, layouts, and load/stress analyses.

• Produce and manage structural drawings and models using Revit Structure.

• Prepare building plans, designs, and construction documents.

• Select construction materials and provide technical advice.

• Coordinate and communicate with project teams and clients.

• Ensure structural stability and compliance with building codes.

• Support training and QA/QC for staff on CAD/Revit standards.

• Conduct literature reviews, develop engineering models, and perform data analyses.

• Prepare and submit project reports, briefs, and cost estimates.

• Participate in software design and development.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.

• 5+ years of structural modeling experience.

• Proficient in Revit Structure and AutoCAD.

• Knowledge of structural engineering principles and steel construction.

• Experience with various construction materials (steel, concrete, CMU, wood, aluminum).

• Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and in a team.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Schedule:

• Hybrid work schedule with 2 days in the office.

Compensation:

• $30-$40 per hour
