The Military Flight Controls Division (a segment of Parker Aerospace) is seeking a dynamic and progressive Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in our Irvine CA office. This role will be an autonomous HR role with responsibility for approximately 500 team members located in our Irvine location. We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong human resources generalist background who:

  • Has worked as an HR role in a fast paced, multi shift, manufacturing environment

  • Has proven experience in driving positive employee relations

  • Has a thorough understanding of California employment law

  • Has experience with Lean or Continuous Improvement implementation

  • Uses and encourages creative and innovative thinking and problem solving

  • Has a demonstrated track record of driving talent management initiatives

  • Is a strong coach and facilitator

This strategic role is not your traditional HR role and requires strong business acumen. As a business partner to the leaders within the Commercial Business Unit this role is actively engaged in, and provides guidance in the areas of:

  • Talent acquisition / recruiting

  • Talent management

  • Employee engagement and development

  • Culture and employee morale

  • High performance teaming and Lean initiatives

  • Six or more years of professional HR experience. Must have HR experience in a fast paced, multi shift, manufacturing environment

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business or a similar discipline. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of human resources principles, industry practices, employment law and regulatory requirements related to human resources policies and practices.

  • Ability to establish goals and objectives and manage projects to completion

  • Ability to respond to significant inquiries, problems, or complaints from team members, team leaders

  • Ability to negotiate effectively to resolve complex employee relations issues

  • Ability to communicate effectively and make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to Leadership

    Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $90,043/annually - $150,255/annually.

This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders], or have refugee or asylee status).
