Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Irvine, California

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Irvine, California. The role revolves around ensuring the accuracy of accounting information, preparing and recording financial entries, and managing the payroll process. The successful candidate will also be responsible for completing external audits and maintaining confidentiality of financial information.

Responsibilities:

• Verify, record, consolidate, and enter transactions to maintain the integrity of accounting information.

• Compile and analyze account information to prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries.

• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions to maintain and balance subsidiary accounts.

• Transfer subsidiary accounts, prepare a trial balance, and reconcile entries to maintain the general ledger.

• Collect information to summarize financial status and prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents.

• Manage the payroll process effectively.

• Schedule general ledger accounts and provide information for auditors to complete external audits.

• Comply with legal requirements to avoid legal challenges.

• Complete database backups to secure financial information.

• Keep information confidential to protect the organization's value.

• Demonstrate strong technical accounting skills and leadership to manage a growing accounting team. Requirements • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent field

• Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Solid understanding of General Ledger management and Journal Entries

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel required

• Experience with Month End Close procedures is essential

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP systems is a plus

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is preferred

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must have a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
