About the Role:

RailPros, a leader in rail engineering and consulting , is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to join our team in Irvine, CA . This pivotal role will involve leading projects, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with CAD designers to deliver high-quality railroad structures. The Senior Bridge Engineer will play a crucial role in interfacing with project managers and technical discipline managers, ensuring adherence to RailPros' Quality Program while driving the successful design and execution of railroad structures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Project Documentation: Prepare comprehensive project documents for railroad structures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

  • Quality Review: Review project documents to confirm adherence to design standards and guidelines.

  • Leadership: Lead structural project work, mentor junior engineers, and provide guidance throughout project lifecycles.

  • Coordination: Coordinate efforts with project managers and other discipline leads to ensure integrated project delivery.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned or required to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Communication: Proficient in electronic communication, including e-mail and text, as well as standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

  • Advanced Skills: Demonstrate advanced oral and written communication skills.

  • Representation: Effectively represent the organization in client and stakeholder communications regarding engineering assignments.

    Required Education and Experience:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License: Must hold a PE license in California.

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of prior structural engineering experience with at least 2 years of experience in railroad and transit structures design.

  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of industry standards and guidelines.

    Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Advanced Degree: Master’s Degree or equivalent is preferred.

  • Continuous Learning: Demonstrated commitment to life-long learning and staying updated on contemporary issues in engineering.

  • Leadership Experience: Experience in leading a technical discipline team is highly desirable.

    Additional Information:

  • Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 / year.
