Fortive Corporation Procurement Specialist, Hardware & Kits in Remote, United States

The Procurement Specialist plays a key role in the growing Hardware and Kits team by providing direct support through gathering of RFQ requirements, supporting Supplier engagements, master data set-ups, BOM validation, costing reviews and more. The Procurement Specialist will also support the team by developing and implementing standard work and process development, participate in and lead Supplier engagements and play an active role in contract development through leadership of our Commodity Managers. This role will also create awareness to areas of improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness that delivers value for Fortive/ASP.

Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision, and in accordance with all applicable government laws, regulations and ASP policies, procedures and guidelines, this position will:

  • Support the Commodity Management team in achieving the procurement goals and objectives.

  • Support and drive PPV opportunities as needed/required.

  • Develop and implement standard work and processes for procurement activities utilizing FBS (Fortive Business Systems) guidelines.

  • Support supplier relationships, participate in reviewing/negotiating contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and requirements.

  • Monitor and report on the performance of procurement processes and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of procurement strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations.

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.

  • Assist in the preparation and management of budgets for procurement activities.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to build relationships and supporting the goals of the organization and ASP.

  • Customer oriented, innovative thinker, able to deliver results, conducts business with honesty and integrity, and knows how to get the job done in a fast paced and challenging environment.

Our Needs:

  • Must have at least a bachelor's degree in engineering, materials, supply chain management, or any related course.

  • At least 1 year experience in supply chain management.

  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.

  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and multi-tasking skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines; able to balance short-term, urgent needs with long-term strategic initiatives.

  • Illustration of negotiation skills and ability to support supplier relationships.

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach.

  • Outstanding communication and social skills, with the ability to influence partners at all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated experience in driving for and delivering results.

The salary range for this position is $54,100-$100,500 . Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
