Come join the Operations Design Team as we use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models to develop the next generation of world-class fulfillment centers! We specialize in the designs surrounding automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems including robotics and high speed manufacturing. If you have strong technical problem-solving abilities and are looking to be challenged in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment, then this job is for you!

This role will be project/program management heavy to ensure the tracking, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and optimized process flow of CAD modules in North America and Europe. These modules comprise the sub-component design of Amazon warehouses, and are essential to a project's critical path. The ability to manage expectations and coordinate with multiple stakeholders is a must.

Key job responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of design integration of architectural backgrounds, production and process equipment layouts with operational space design and planning of distribution centers.

  • Lead, manage and coordinate all aspects of design program management like schedule, stakeholder communication, risk and quality, document and revision management.

  • Present and lead design reviews with stakeholders. Manage approvals and release full design packages for execution and implementation.

  • Provide technical leadership for process flows for building program. Provide coordination support between internal and external departments.

  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors.

  • Facilitate process improvement initiatives.

  • Effectively manage resources, quality and project schedules for on-time deliverables.

  • Travel 10% to interact with internal and external business.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • 3+ years of design management experience

  • Expertise using AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam and BIM 360 tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
