We are looking for an outstanding Media Services Engineer with prior industry experience integrating, scaling and supporting media processing pipelines. You will be responsible for supporting asset databases, collaborating on tool development, internal software integrations and automating Immersive media content delivery to platform. Description

This role requires direct collaboration with encoding developments teams, media production stakeholders, catalogue management teams and platform distributions partners. You will be asked to design and automate media distribution workflows for VisionPro Immersive content. You will be responsible for creating topology diagrams, publishing workflow specifications, testing server build profiles, monitoring health of media processing services and supporting content delivery service level agreements. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled engineer to develop and automate processes in cloud and on-premises data center infrastructures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of media processing or pipeline automation experience with a track record of successful projects

  • Knowledge of modern renderers and rendering techniques

  • Practical knowledge of POST production workflows

  • Knowledge of video codecs such as MPEGs AVC, HEVC VCC or AV1

  • Strong programming skills in Python

  • Understanding of Object Oriented Programming skills like Java.

  • Experience building client & server APIs using JSON and REST

  • Solid understanding of authentication and authorization fundamentals for building access control systems and rules.

  • Experience in managing the applications on AWS/GCP & Kubernetes

  • Strong Experience in Infrastructure templating tools like CloudFormation, Terraform

  • Practical understanding of Networking concepts on Cloud, like VPCs, DNS, Security Groups, Kubernetes network model

  • Experience debugging and troubleshooting device hardware/software failures

  • Experience with logging infrastructure and using tools such as Splunk, Logstash, or Elasticsearch.

  • Excellent analytical & problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,700 and $243,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
