Job Description

The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting P&L management of assigned commercial brand(s) and will assist in preparation and analysis of monthly ADS, Plan, LBE (Latest Best Estimate), and LRP (Long Range Plan). The role will be responsible for SG&A management and will assist in evaluating and monitoring P&L line-item detail and prepare corresponding reports to share with commercial partners as well as maintaining a framework of Finance internal controls including testing internal controls to ensure these are in line with relevant policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the month end close and financial reporting activities including monthly business/budget reviews and preparation of related packages with variance analysis/commentary on expenses and headcount.

  • Support assigned commercial brand team(s) in the preparation and submission of the ADS, Plan, LBE (Latest Best Estimate), and LRP (Long Range Plan) packages and their related supporting documentation.

  • Responsible for coordination, management, and preparation for SG&A meetings for Plan, LBE and LRP cycles. Support budget owners, provide data, and prepare analysis. Submit forecasts into relevant financial systems, as needed.

  • Assists with variance analysis and commentary for planning cycles and management reporting.

  • Provides accurate and timely financial planning and analysis deliverables.

  • Preparation of financial reporting packages.

  • Investigation of P&L line item details including identification of underlying drivers as well as root cause analysis as needed.

  • Maintains an internal control framework including testing of internal controls.

  • Assists with financial support to functional business owners.

  • Assists with project execution as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred and/or 2-4+ years of relevant experience in Finance or Accounting.

  • Previous FP&A experience in the pharmaceutical industry strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of financial and accounting theory and practice as well as business and financial principles.

  • Proficient Excel skills required, experience with TM1 and SAP preferred.
