Job Description

Skyworks Irvine design center is seeking an Assembly / Engineering Technician to join our Mobile Solutions Business Unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with design engineers on assembly documents, Bill Of Materials (BOM), review bonding diagram, and support Multi-Chip Module (MCM) assembly request

• Daily activities will include building prototypes and engineering development parts using assembly equipment such as: Solder Stencil Printer, SMT machine, Reflow Oven, Die Attach Machine, Wire Bond Machine, Molding, Laser Marking, Dicing equipment and manual BGA ball attach tooling.

• Inspect multi-chip module units under a microscope for assembly issues

• Ensure quality service in a timely manner and according to established procedures and safety requirements.

• Ensure ESD protocols are met and monitor for compliance.

• Track and report materials inventory.

  Job Requirements:

• Associates degree in Engineering or Science discipline or equivalent experience and training.

• Formal training with the main focus on engineering disciplines. Minimum 4 years related experience.

• Able to use Microsoft office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Exchange, Word) and windows operating system fluently

• Excellent skills in using hand tools for assembly and hand dexterity for high precision module assembly under a microscope

• Knowledge in operating assembly equipment, programming and setup of the following: Screen print, SMT, Die attach, Wire bonder, Compression Molding, Laser Marking and Dicing Saw.

• Ability to do minor machine maintenance trouble shooting and perform machine preventative maintenance when required.

• Skills in problem-solving, teamwork, and demonstrate good verbal and written communication.

• Attention to detail required.

• Must be able to support occasional weekend work or overtime when required.

  The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $28.65 - $50.05 per hour . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
