WTW Head of Programme Management and Change in Ipswich, United Kingdom

Summary:

This role is in our Risk and Broking segment and supports the delivery of technology globally for Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB). The role holder will be part of the Technology Leadership team for CRB that oversees all the technology platforms and services that enable this insurance broking business.

The CRB technology team are in all regions: North America, Great Briton, Western Europe and International. The role is a hybrid role, with Ipswich as the base office, candidates would need to be able to go to Ipswich and London as required.

The Role:

People Management:

  • Oversee a direct and indirect team of global Programme Managers, Project Managers, Project

  • Analysts and Change Specialist. This includes the Project Management Office.

Programme Management:

  • Lead complex, technology-driven initiatives, in areas such as software development, platform deployment and technology services.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop project milestones, creating project schedules and implementing steps to complete programmes on time and within budget.

  • Being agile in the approach to ensure the highest value is delivered as early as possible. ·

Budgeting:

  • Managing project budgets based on the strategic goals of the company. This includes preparing the annual budget and developing investment cases. ·

Risk Management:

  • Monitoring programme progress, identifying risk factors, and ensuring compliance with internal control policies and legal requirements. ·

Stakeholder communication :

  • Compiling progress reports and making presentations to leadership and other stakeholders, within a regulated environment. ·

Continuous Improvements :

  • Identifying ways to improve productivity and efficiency while reducing delays and costs. ·

Supplier Management:

  • Participate in vendor management to ensure we are partnering with the right suppliers and that they are delivering against agreed deliverables.

The Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level.

  • 15 years’ experience in Project and Programme Management. With 8 of those years managing a complex portfolio of technology projects in a global (re)insurance organisation.

  • Managing an annual budget of $50m split across multiple product lines.

  • A strong communicator with the ability to effectively interact across various levels, teams, and cultures.

  • You will possess excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills as well as report writing be comfortable presenting at all levels.

  • Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively in teams, including remotely with colleagues in other countries.

  • Well organized and attention-to-deal with ability to prioritize conflicting work schedules.

  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken), with French a bonus
