Robert Half Office Manager in Iowa City, Iowa

Description

We are seeking an Office Manager for an exciting long-term contract employment opportunity in Iowa City, Iowa. This role will involve overseeing the daily operations of the office, managing office systems and procedures, and maintaining relationships with vendors, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the office, which includes managing an effective filing system and performing administrative tasks such as preparing correspondence and arranging conference calls.

• Manage office services by organizing office operations and procedures, overseeing correspondence, designing filing systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, and assigning and monitoring clerical functions.

• Handle HR management duties, such as employee onboarding, managing staff records, maintaining payroll data, and managing employee benefit programs.

• Maintain relationships with vendors, service providers, and landlords, ensuring that all items are invoiced and paid on time.

• Coordinate office staff activities to ensure maximum efficiency.

• Regularly review and update office health and safety systems.

• Assist in the planning and execution of office events, meetings, and conferences.

• Prepare and present reports on office efficiency and performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in office management or a similar role

• CRM skillset is highly desirable

• Familiarity with About Time software

• Ability to manage and respond to incoming calls

• Experience in administrative office duties is a must

• Proficiency in filing and organization of office documents

• Understanding and managing insurance benefits

• Expertise in maintaining vendor relations

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

• Professionalism and a positive attitude

• High level of discretion and confidentiality.
