ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY
POSITION: Director of Workforce Development & Apprenticeships
12 Month Contract Full-time Staff Position
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Director of Workforce Development & Apprenticeships is responsible for
programs offered to business, industry, government, citizens, and nonprofit
agencies. This position will be a public-facing position with varied duties as it
pertains to developing new and maintaining existing partnerships and programs.
This position is responsible for initiating, tracking, managing, and fostering
relationships with business and industry for the purpose of promoting
apprenticeship programs. Serves as the primary point of contact for businesses.
Position Description
QUALIFICATIONS: Required Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelors degree or higher.
Exemplary data and record management skills
Ability to manage competing priorities.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with or in-depth knowledge of US DOL or Kansas Registered
Apprenticeship requirements, including use of RAPIDS.
Experience in secondary and post-secondary education.
Experience in a specialized or a related field applicable to work performed.
Experience with Excel in CTE initiatives.
Supervisory experience.
Certification and/or training applicable to job requirements.
LOCATION: Iola Campus. Travel to businesses and high schools within the state of Kansas will
be required based on project needs, with scheduled days on the Iola campus.
SALARY: \$50,000-\$55,000. An excellent benefits package is available.
STARTING DATE: Position is open until filled.
